Deployed a Hyperledger Fabric network connecting 5 logistics providers, 3 port authorities, and 2 customs agencies for end-to-end container traceability across the Asia-Europe trade corridor.
The consortium faced chronic disputes over container custody transfers, with each party maintaining separate records. A single disputed handoff between a shipping line and port authority could cost $120K in demurrage fees and take 6 weeks to resolve. No single party trusted any other to maintain the authoritative record.
We architected a permissioned Hyperledger Fabric network with 10 validating nodes, smart contracts encoding custody transfer rules, and a REST API gateway for integration with existing TMS/ERP systems. Each custody transfer is recorded as an immutable transaction with digital signatures from both parties, enabling real-time dispute resolution.
